My previous sales careers (AT&T, BT, Intelsat and Lockheed Martin) presented me with the opportunity to interact with people around the world. I was able to successfully negotiate contracts with private and government entities, primarily based on my ability to understand their goals and communicate effectively.
Prior to graduating from Virginia Tech, I resided in a number of states west coast to east coast. I have great memories of all these places but Brunswick County living is my dream come true. Brunswick County is one of the fastest growing counties in North Carolina and its beautiful golf courses, beaches, marinas and climate are some of the reasons that make it so. My wife and I have owned our home in Brunswick County since 2005. My desire to help others realize their dream prompted me to obtain my NC Broker license in April, 2007.

Rick Sprince wins the award for finding us the house of our dreams when the market was tight and we were a 2.5-year project! We started exploring St James almost 3 years ago, but when we were ready to find a home Rick did an excellent job of understanding what we wanted – and navigating the wife’s “list” vs the husband’s “list” ?. We were in the Northern Virginia area for the entire home-hunting project, and he did a wonderful job working remotely with us. We knew he was on top of the market, and he sent us homes the minute they came up for sale - and sometimes before! After two years we thought we had found that right home and put in a generous bid, only to be outbid by another couple. Rick’s advice when that happened: “Don’t be discouraged. I’ll guarantee we will find you a home you’ll like even better.” And he did. Through the entire process we always were well informed by Rick who kept us up to date on changes in the listings that interested us, sometimes calling us more than once a day to make sure we saw the latest changes and new offerings. He kept us prepared. When the THE PERFECT HOME came on the market in mid-December as we were in the midst of travel, he did not let us miss out, advising us on and facilitating the right offer as we signed paperwork on the road. My wife said she never thought we would put an offer on a home we had never set foot in, but we did, trusting Rick’s assessment that it was right, and giving us a “Facetime” tour. When our offer was accepted, Rick made sure our closing was smooth by updating us week by week, step by step. As a bonus, before, during, and after he has given us so much insight about the community, the clubs, and activities that we call him our St. James Sherpa! Rick Sprince is the perfect realtor. He presented an early offer that was below asking but was not pushy and did not try to coerce us to get an easy sale which soon led to higher price offer and successful sale. Rick Sprince was invaluable to us during our search for an area where we would want to relocate. He knew we wanted a gated community and took us to all the gated communities in the area, explaining all the amenities in each one. Once we made our final decision to relocate to St. James Plantation, NC he then began showing us homes for sale. After a weekend of looking at homes, we began thinking of buying land and building, he then began showing us lots for sale. Needless to say Rick Sprince has the utmost care for his clients happiness. Rick lined up access to all the properties we were interested in walking through. When we made an offer he helped navigate us through the remote sign off approvals on all the documents. He followed up even after the sale. We have truly gained a friend through the two years we have worked with Rick, and know that he looks out for us, which isn't always the case in real estate transactions.
