Nick Kentrolis is a fourth generation Wilmingtonian with roots in the community that stretch back more than a century. His great grandfather immigrated to Wilmington from Greece in 1917, and ever since, the Kentrolis family has been deeply woven into the fabric of the area. Nick’s lifelong connection to Wilmington gives him an unmatched understanding of the people, neighborhoods, and evolving character of this coastal city.

A graduate of New Hanover High School, Nick was a standout musician, earning first chair honors throughout high school, including First Chair Trumpet in the All State Orchestra. He began playing with the UNCW Bands during his senior year and toured with several big band jazz groups and local ensembles—early experiences that shaped his discipline, leadership, and teamwork.

Since 1986, Nick has been a respected fitness and sales professional, achieving significant success throughout the southeastern United States. Over the course of his career, he has built, acquired, and developed numerous award winning fitness centers, revitalizing struggling programs and transforming them into thriving community hubs. His work involved not only operations and sales, but also extensive collaboration with builders, contractors, and development teams.

In 2002, Nick sold his interest in the internationally recognized World Gym of Wilmington, choosing to slow down and focus on quality of life. Alongside his wife, Wanda, he went on to own and operate The Crest Fitness Club on Wrightsville Beach, which they successfully ran until June 30, 2021.

Today, Nick brings this extensive background into his role as a Licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker. His decades of experience working with construction professionals, building high performance sales teams, and managing complex operations give him a rare, practical perspective in real estate. Combined with his personal experience owning and managing rental properties and flipping homes, Nick is far from the average Broker/REALTOR®.
