19 Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage Agents Receive MCNE Desig

Only One Other Agent in North Carolina Holds this Prestigious Designation Negotiation Skills Enable Agents to Better Serve Home Buyers and Sellers in Today's Market

Wilmington, NC – Nineteen agents from Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage recently earned a Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE) designation from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute (RENI). The MCNE program consists of three levels of training and six days of professional negotiation theory and techniques, as well as practical application to real estate negotiation situations. The MCNE program is the premier and most comprehensive negotiation-training program in real estate. Agents who receive this designation are in the top .1% of all agents nationally in negotiation skills training, according to Tom Hayman, CEO and Co-Founder of RENI. Until now, only one other agent in North Carolina has earned an MCNE designation.

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage started the CNE training process in November 2014 when the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors brought Tom Hayman of RENI to Wilmington to host a CNE-1 class. Since then, Sea Coast Advantage has independently hosted three additional sessions for its agents -- CNE-1, CNE -2 and CNE-3. Completion of any one of these segments earns a CNE designation. Completion of all three earns participants a MCNE designation. In addition to the 19 recent MCNE graduates, 75 Sea Coast Advantage agents have completed CNE-1, 54 have completed CNE-2 and 30 have completed CNE-3.

With the professional negotiation skills learned in the CNE program, agents can help clients obtain better results in the sale or purchase of their home. MCNE agents have a much higher skill level which enables them to 1) communicate more effectively to uncover desired information, 2) help clients understand their options, 3) work collaboratively with others, and 4) resolve deadlocks. MCNE agents have a thorough understanding of how to negotiate effectively to help achieve their client’s goals.
