Situated on the western side of the Intracoastal Waterway, in close proximity to Myrtle Beach and Conway, Carolina Forest boasts a large number of golf courses to choose from, high-end shopping at Tanger Outlets and a highly convenient location.  With U.S. Route 501 allowing easy access to everything that Myrtle Beach has to offer, and SC Highway 31 allowing a rapid connection to points north and south, Carolina Forest is a popular location for both vacationers and residents.

Things to Do in Carolina Forest  

In addition to the many golf courses that are located both inside of Carolina Forest and nearby, the area is home to the Myrtle Beach Speedway and Wheels of Yesteryear auto museum, as well as numerous local eateries, boutiques, bars and pubs, fine dining and seafood restaurants.  Going to the beach for a day spent swimming or sunbathing is an easy option, as Myrtle Beach is a short drive away.  

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate that the approximately 9,000 acre Lewis Ocean Bay Nature Preserve is located adjacent to Carolina Forest.  There are many opportunities for boating, kayaking or fishing on the Intracoastal Waterway; the nearby Horry County Bike Run Park offers an additional means of getting outside and exploring the area.
