Kristin was extremely helpful throughout my process for purchasing a house on oak island. Because I has limited availability during the weekdays, she made a number of follow up visits to my targeted property, and fully researched any items of concern, including contacting local providers for estimates. I felt very comfortable knowing she was very familiar with the community, as she is a year round resident, answering any questions I had during the process, and arranging everything for closing to make it as seamless as possible for me. Even subsequent to closing she has maintained contact to ensure that everything was ok with house and that I was aware of any local goings on.
Excellent process, Kris was with us every step of the way. She didn’t skip a beat and had our best interest. She is knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and it’s very apparent she loves what she does. Thank you Kris
I've never done a review like this. It's always been about the food and service at restaurant I had patroned or the personal interactions and fun factor at an entertainment facility. Buying a home is something much deeper and more important. At the very core of it, I'm leaving a review on a person who helped me make one of the most important decisions I've made in my life. I suppose I'll lead it off with this: Kristin made the entire process streamlined, comfortable, and easy. Let's get started.
When I first came across the house that I'm now comfortably situated in, writing this review, I was entirely convinced there was no way I could acquire it. But it had a few things going for it that enticed me into trying anyway. It was close to my job, the neighborhood seemed quiet, and most importantly, it seemed a house that just might fall in to my price range. That being said, I had no intentions of getting my hopes up. I had very little knowledge in the way of buying a home or land. There's mortgages, inspections, escrow(up until I met Kristin I believed that was a fancy, made up buzzword that had no real meaning) and I'd have to be crazy to think I could get myself through such a convoluted process, right? Wrong.
Kristin helped me every step of the way. She coached me through every part of the process and answered her phone any time of day I called with any silly questions I had. She pointed me in the direction of a mortgage broker(who also provided fantastic service), she worked with me on the price of the home, she neatly broke down and laid out every bit of paperwork I had to sign, and perhaps the best part for me was how she worked around my schedule. I was worried working 60+ hours a week would hinder my likelihood of finalizing and closing. She expressed understanding of my situation and made sure to help me whichever way she could. Now, I know what some of you may think. She's a realtor. It's her job to make the sale. She only gets paid if I shell out myself. Well, even weeks after the house is sold and she made her commission, she's been staying in contact and asking questions about the house and how it's working out for me. Shortly after I moved in, I realized my toilet wasn't working correctly. The float assembly needed to be replaced, it leaked from the wax seal, and had a 50/50 shot doing what a toilet is intended to do. I'm sure you get the point. Kristin had upgraded my homeowners insurance to max coverage upon closing, which was something to chose to do herself at no extra cost to me. That's fantastic. That's above and beyond. She's done her part, right? Something terrible and personal came up in my life shortly after making the purchase, and I was short on expendable cash. When I explained that to Kristin and told her I didn't have the money to spend on the deductible to replace the toilet, she paid to have someone come out and replace it for me. This woman who had already finished her job and made her cut cared enough to check on me and make sure I was taken care of. That truly is above and beyond. Thank you so much for everything you've done. I will make sure to recommend you to any and everyone needing Realtor services in the future. To whomever is reading this review, I promise you need to look no further. The perfect realtor is right here! Best of luck future buyers!
