My name is Bob Hestikind and I have lived in the Wilmington and the surrounding areas since 1992. I taught High School for 25 years in the area, it truly is a great place to live. This was our first experience buying a home, needless to say it can be stressful and confusing. Luckily for us we were recommended to Bob from my credit union utilizing a program they provide. I cannot recommend Bob highly enough. At no point did it feel like he was working to sell a house just to make money, instead it was more like we had a friend who was only concerned with our happiness and finding the perfect home for us, and we had a lot of tough to find qualities in a home for the Wilmington area. He walked us through every step, from day one to closing day, I honestly don’t know what we would have done without him. I haven’t dealt with many realtors so I don’t have a huge pool to compare in that respect, but I have dealt with plenty of people in my life, and as far as people go, it would be hard to find one better than Bob if you are looking for someone to help find you a home.

We are so thankful that we were able to work with Bob to purchase our first home. From the beginning his communication was excellent and prompt. All of our questions were answered and he has lived in Wilmington for a long time and knows a lot about each area and which areas to stay away from that were flooded during the past few hurricanes. He is especially knowledgeable with the Castle Hayne/Ogden areas, so if you are looking at those particular areas, he is a great person to talk with. He brought us to any home that we wanted to see and once we decided on which house we were going to put an offer in, he negotiated well to help us get a builder's warranty for peace of mind since it was a new construction. Bob is a friendly and kind agent and I always felt like he had our best interests in mind with every step. I would recommend Bob to anyone shopping around for real estate! Thanks, Bob!
