Over the past 10 years, Joel has built an extensive knowledge base. His diverse experience encompasses the acquisition and sale of a wide variety of real estate, from starter homes, investment properties and coastal estates, to luxury condominium, 1031 exchanges, manufactured homes, bank owned properties and vacation rentals.
A native of North Carolina and a Wilmington resident since 1995, Joel has a comprehensive understanding of local property values, school districts, and subdivisions. An educated professional with astute business sense, he realized his natural aptitude for sales and affinity for working with people from building a successful furniture import business with his family.
Though he has earned referrals and trust as a result of his vast expertise in the Northeast Wilmington market, as he has lived there for many years, Joel is always willing to travel wherever the interests of his clients should take him.

Joel worked harder than any realtor I have ever worked with to make this happen and he stayed up to date with the lending process from me and the buyer to ensure all movement was on track. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your tireless work on helping me buy the home of my dreams. This beautiful home on the Albemarle Sound will stay in my family for generations. We went from "Hi, I'm interested in this home" on Tuesday morning to "They've accepted your offer" that same week on Friday night around 9pm. It was a true whirlwind and I couldn't have done it without the knowledge and experience of a true professional realtor.There was plenty of negotiating and you kept in constant contact with the seller's agent. After the accepted offer began the endless emails, docu-signs, deposits required, etc, etc, until the closing. You worked six days a week (maybe Sunday's too, lol) and from early morning until well after 6pm. Your efforts were greatly appreciated and I would recommend you in a heartbeat to anyone in North Carolina.On a scale of one-to-ten, you're off the charts !!Many thanks and best regards !

I don't know much about Coldwell Banker. I'm here with Joel Sheesley. I've been buying with Joel for 10 years now and watched him grow professionally in confidence and skill over that time. I would recommend him to anyone. If I'm hot on a property and it happens to be Saturday night, Joel does what he can to meet me there. When we were working on the last deal and I threw in the towel on the property, Joel was back-channeling with the listing agent to breath new life in it and as a result we just closed it.
