Mike, Is was very professional helping us find a beach house in CB. He made time for us when we came out to scout many locations. We actually were looking to buy another place and at the 11th hour had to pull away due to COVID. I was surprised by his approach on being kind, and calm, and recognizing it was not the best time for this kind of investment. He assured us that another opportunity would present itself in the right timeframe. I was very appreciative of this approach and not acting like some sale people that only care about the deal and trying to close us on something we were not prepared to commit based on the COVID event. As fate would have it. The right place open at the right time a few month later and we closed just in time for the 4th of July! Thank you Mike for all your kindness and professionalism

She promptly returned my calls and emails throughout the entire process, and her responses were always thoughtful and insightful. When we first communicated, she demonstrated extensive knowledge of the local market and quickly and accurately determined the fair market value of my property based on current listings and recent sales. The listing she prepared for my property, both the description and photographs, were absolutely perfect. She also took the time to market the property outside of the MLS, which I believe is critical in the current real estate market. We received 2 offers, both close to the listing price, within 3 weeks of listing the property for sale and the property was sold in less than 1 month from when it was listed for sale. Mike, Is was very professional helping us find a beach house in CB. He made time for us when we came out to scout many locations. We actually were looking to buy another place and at the 11th hour had to pull away due to COVID. I was surprised by his approach on being kind, and calm, and recognizing it was not the best time for this kind of investment. He assured us that another opportunity would present itself in the right timeframe. I was very appreciative of this approach and not acting like some sale people that only care about the deal and trying to close us on something we were not prepared to commit based on the COVID event. On a scale of 1-10 Tammy and Cori rate a 12. As background, we put our house on the market with another Real Estate Agent in early June 2016. We terminated with that Realtor in October 2016 and on 18 November, 2016 we listed our home with Tammy and Cori: -after having interviewed others. Tammy and Cori accomplished more for us in days, than our previous Realtor either ignored or struggled with in months. Proactive marketing, constant feedback, professional advice, and attention to detail are a few items we wanted, and Tammy and Cori hit home runs with all these and more. Broker and public open houses, were among the first of their many initiatives. (Our previous Realtor did not believe in the value of open houses, and hosted one of each months after the listing and only after contentious dialogue. In fact, he showed up 30 minutes late for the public open house - which was consistent with his sub-standard performance). We have sold 2 houses since October 2015. Cori is the consummate professional for real estate in Carolina Beach, N.C. She is patient, extremely helpful, very responsive, and her knowledge of the area -- being a longtime resident on the island-- is as good as anyone's there could possibly be. I started my search not really certain what type of property I wanted -- and we looked at single homes, duplexes, quadplexes and condos in both small and large communities. She never swayed me one way or another but was helpful in answering questions and qualms I may have had regarding one type of ownership versus another. The process took a while because I live four hours away and this purchase was for a second home -- one with income potential if my wife and I decided to rent it some. Because of erratic listings in the two condo complexes in which I narrowed my search, there were gaps of several weeks with no new listings whatsoever. Cori never seemed exasperated at the gaps in our conversations because of the lack of availability, yet was always cheerful and upbeat when we reconnected from time to time so that I could let her know I was still keeping up with the properties that showed up in my portal and was still poised to buy. I acted quickly when the 'right one' did eventually get listed, and I bought the condo sight-unseen because I was very familiar with other condos of the same size and layout in the same community. What transpired then, from the offer to the response to the acceptance -- and through the inspection and the closing -- was the smoothest real estate transaction I've had in my life. (And, at age 63, I've had a few!) Once I signed, online, for a digital signature by which to endorse each document, the process was almost scarily easy. When it was time for the closing, just three weeks later (or perhaps a little less than that), there was nothing for me to do but sign one more document. My closing time was 10 a.m. I arrived a bit early, was called back by the attorney, signed that last document, received the keys, and walked out at 9:56, before the closing was even scheduled to start! The 'signing' process through the computer had been so simple that there was nothing else to do! I must add that, all along the way, upon my receipt of each online document, I sometimes had questions before signing. Each question I posed to Cori, whether by email (usually) or text or phone was answered incredibly quickly. She either knew the answer or said she would provide me an answer after checking on something. Because she is very busy, I was very impressed with her response time, and I always felt as if I were her only customer. She is, to sum it all up, the best realtor with whom I've ever worked.

Overall, Cori did an excellent job selling our home. To her credit, we got a number of offers throughout the process despite selling in a relatively slower time of year. Her local knowledge helped us price correctly - in the early agent interview process, the listing prices we were being told from other agents seemed too good to be true, and when she suggested a more reasonable listing price, it ended up being right. I've bought and sold many properties in Carolina Beach and the Wilmington area. Cory was the most responsive and accessible realtor I have ever dealt with. Many realtors like to promote and show their listings as a priority rather than a property that may fit your needs better but not net them a bigger commission. Cory didn't do that, she really listened and asked questions to find us the right property without trying to push certain ones. Cori is by far the best real estate agent I have ever worked with since I started buying an selling houses and property in 1968. She listens to your opinions, then gives suggestions which are right on the mark. She does her homework. Cori went the 'extra mile' for me. I was the long distance owner of a beach cottage for sale. I told Cori I used to keep pots of brightly colored flowers on each side of the front door. Cori said, 'I can do that for you', and she bought and planted some, and everyone said how charming the little cottage looked (curb appeal!) We first contacted Cori on July 3rd to look at a place while passing through the area. Searching for the "perfect" vacation home that meets your needs and location criteria can be difficult, but Cori made the process painless. She listened to our needs as well as our desires, showing us what met the mark. When we totally switched gears on her and decided to look at lots for new builds, she was prepared for that too. When coming from out of town to view properties, Cori was well prepared with viewings, organized for the time we had to spend, and very knowledgeable about the area as well as up-to-date on information pertaining to zoning, builders and current building prices. From setting up our search, to negotiating our purchase price, to closing- Cori handled everything professionally and promptly.
