I'm so grateful to Beth Black Byrd for her tremendous assistance in finding and purchasing my new home. I could never have done it without her. By understanding almost intuitively exactly what my personal preferences and priorities were she then custom fitted out long voyage of reviewing houses. This, her deep knowledge of the housing market and trends, her ability to do some pretty fancy research on her own, and her attention to detail in all the legal documents made me feel protected from making a poor choice. Beth is the most diligent, hard-working, and knowledgeable professional I have ever had the pleasure of working with. We recently bought a house in North Carolina while we are still living in New York; our plan is to move out of New York soon. It was difficult with a full-time job for us (my husband and I) to fly back and forth to North Carolina; however, thanks to Beth, we found our ideal home that met our needs and almost all of our wish list. What struck me most about Beth was her honesty and integrity; her first priority was to help us find the right home and neighborhood aligned to our needs and wish list. From the start she was responsive, available, and proactive, guiding us at every step in the process; she even did all the heavy lifting that new home buyers need to do (she was there for the engineer’s inspection, septic tank inspection, etc, and presented herself as a constant resource). She would always follow up on matters that we weren’t able to because of our distance. Also, there were many roadblocks due to unforeseen circumstances (eg, delay in the appraiser’s report, Bank of America's underwriters dragging their feet, septic tank failure). We almost felt that the deal was slipping away. However, Beth never gave up; she was there fighting on our behalf to save the transaction, and here we are today owning the home of our dreams. She still stays in touch to make sure that our transition is as smooth as possible, always providing us with her invaluable guidance.I would definitely recommend Beth for any real estate transactions.
