SeaCoasters Living the Best Life!

With the holiday season upon us we often hear quotes like, “It is better to give than to receive” “None has ever become poor by giving” “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. These quotes, though important to live by year-round, have a special effect around the holidays. Thanksgiving reminds us to take a step back and appreciate what we have. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and many other religious holidays evoke feelings of peace and good-will to all of those around us.

Coldwell Banker Seacoast Advantage is in the business of finding homes. Homes play the backdrop for all of those holiday celebrations, and all of the memories made between families and friends.  We help clients buy and sell real estate for a variety of reasons, but quite possibly the biggest is that we know the joy and love that a home can nurture and inspire. I am confident in saying that our SeaCoast family is one of the most big-hearted giving groups of people that I know. Our company President Tim Milam actually asks and expects that we “Do Good.” He doesn’t mean that we take a property to the closing table (though it is nice when we do), but he means that we do right towards others. He means that we work together  with our family and our friends to build a better, kinder, happier world.

In the spirit of the holiday season, I sent out an email asking our agents to inform me of any “Do Good” type work that they were involved in. We are the largest realty company in Southeastern North Carolina, so I fully expected my email inbox to explode with stories of charity. Crickets..... I waited.... When I hadn’t received any stories I started to wonder if my mass email had been delivered. Then it hit me, the type of people that do good for others aren’t the type to talk about it. They aren’t the type to do their own horn-tooting. I had to dive a little deeper. A second email went out begging our agents to “toot their own horns” just once. Now my email inbox was getting fuller.

The point of this blog post is not to prove that we are the greatest realty company (though you can call us and we will be glad to tell you why we are!). The point of this blog is to highlight some amazing community members (that happen to be a part of our team) and the amazing projects, services, and organizations that they are apart of. They exemplify the spirit of the season. These people live the “Do Good” life. They know that there is no better way to receive than to give. They work tirelessly to make others smile. They relish in the happiness of their neighbors. I hope that they inspire you to seek out a way to lift others up, because in the crazy world that we live in there will always be a person, a family, a neighbor that could use a little goodwill and cheer!

Below, I have included links to many of the charities that are so important to our team members. Follow us on Facebook to see more in-depth descriptions of these great people and the work they are doing in Southeastern North Carolina.
